Creative and Media activities in the area:
In Ealing there is a Ceramics Cafe focussed mainly for kids from 5 –15years but anyone is welcome, where you are given a plain white bisque shape, you then paint on your design using ceramic under glazes, then they would fire it in a kiln for you, and your piece is ready for collection within 2-4 days.
Open from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday 11am to 6pm.
The website for the ceramics cafe is below, the website is very simple and plain but very clear, and provides you with a map, contacts and further information on what this activity is.
Easter is coming up so here is a guide i found for all the events and actvities happening including creative and media ones.

Many people face the problem of looking trying to find creative media venues in our area so below is where i found some and how.
I the n created a Powepoint about what i found out about the different creative media activities within our area.

Creative Media activities in our local area

In Hounslow and Ealing there is a variety of creative and media activities for different age groups, most of them being free and funded by the government and private organisations such as charitable ones that support creative workshops. Hounslow provides you with leisure facilities, libraries, the arts and culture workshops/events, its local parks and open spaces and halls available for hire.

On Hounslow’s website: http://www.hounslow.info/ , there is an arts and culture page, from it you can see Hounslow has a wealth of art and cultural activities that celebrate the diversity of the borough for all ages to enjoy.

There are activities such as toddler story time where you can you shares stories and sing along, there is creative writing for older kids, Hobby craft for example creating knitting yourself a woolly hat with experts in the field, there is even an open gallery where twice a year artists at redlees studios open their studios open their spaces to the public and showcase their latest work. There are also specific activities and workshops depending on the month and seasons, for example Easter is coming up so Easter activities are being held for ages over 5. Similar things like this are held for Christmas and the summer, so there is no excuse for doing nothing throughout the year as our local area provides services and opportunities to be creative and try out new things.

Normally such activities are held in libraries throughout Hounslow such as Feltham, Hounslow, Cranford and Heston libraries so it also allows easy access for people and neighbours living in Hounslow that they have a place close to them where they can attend such things.

With such creative media activities comes the creative and media employment roles and requirements. Hounslow works in partnership with Fusion, an experience sports and leisure organisation. As a registered charity, Fusion continually reinvests to improve and develop what’s on offer in our community.
